Anna Marrow

Anna Marrow studied art at Bristol, specialising in printmaking, and completing a MA in Communication design at Central Saint Martins. She loves to work with silkscreen because of ‘the limitless variety of marks you can manipulate and make your own’, from bold splashes of colour to delicately drawn lines, scraps of text to photographic images.

Anna combines elements of drawing, text and collage to convey the excitement and confusion of a day in the city. Her most recent works have focused upon ideas about the accelerated pace of our lives, the random messages and commands we are bombarded with and the characters and creatures we encounter daily.
‘I relish the chaos and diversity of modern urban living and try to capture this in my prints’. Visits to Las Vegas, Kuala Lumpar, Saigon and Singapore have also inspired her work and added a different twist to her pieces.

Having completed her MA specialising in illustration with distinction, Anna has worked for clients including The Central Saint Martins Contemporary Collection, Selfridges, The BBC, HTV, The Guardian, CCA Galleries and Building Magazine.

She is currently living and working in Bristol.
